Round-up 2026

The best Premiere Pro plugins in 2026, sorted by the job they do

Updated 2026-10-31 · by the mouzeclick team · Also in Español, Português (Brasil), Bahasa Indonesia

The best Premiere Pro plugins in 2026 depend on the job, and Premiere now does some jobs at no extra cost: Speech to Text, Auto Reframe and pause deletion are built in. Beyond that, AutoCut or FireCut cut silence, Animation Composer and Motion Bro supply templates, Excalibur speeds up keyboard work, and mouzeclick, which we make, adds Hinglish captions on Windows, timeline fixes and a mouse wheel.

  • Disclosure: mouzeclick publishes this page and makes one of the tools on it. No affiliate links.
  • Every price is as the maker's own page showed it on 31 Oct 2026, in the maker's currency
  • Premiere's own Speech to Text covers 18 languages, Hindi included, at no extra cost
  • Captions (the app) and Submagic are left out: neither has a Premiere extension

How did we pick the best Premiere Pro plugins for this list?

We read each maker's own pages on 31 October 2026 and kept only what those pages state: price, host apps, Windows and Mac, trial, licence and what the tool does. Then we sorted the tools by the job an editor actually hires them for.

  • We make mouzeclick, and it is on this list. It gets the same format as everyone else, its Windows-only parts are named, and where another tool is the better buy we say so.
  • No timed tests. We haven't run the same clip through every tool on one machine, so there is no speed ranking here. Be wary of any list that ranks tools by "time saved" without showing its data.
  • Inside Premiere, or exporting to it. Captions (the app) runs on phones and in the browser, and Submagic says it is browser-only, so neither made the list.
  • Out of scope: effects, noise-reduction and film-look suites such as Neat Video, Boris FX or FilmConvert. They are a different category and we haven't checked their pages for this round-up.
  • No affiliate links. Every outbound link goes to the maker's own page and is listed under Sources.

What can Premiere Pro do without plugins in 2026?

Captions in 18 languages, caption translation, single-word captions, pause deletion, reframing and recording sync are all built in, so check them before you pay for anything.

  • Speech to Text is included in the Premiere subscription and lives in the Text panel (Window › Text). Adobe lists 18 transcription languages, Hindi among them, and translation of captions into 27. From Premiere 22.2 it works offline once a language pack is installed; English is bundled.
  • Single-word captions arrived natively in Premiere 26.3 (June 2026): captions that show one word at a time, generated from the transcript.
  • Pause deletion. Text-based editing can detect the pauses in a transcript and delete them, so a talking head can lose its gaps without a plug-in.
  • Auto Reframe: Sequence › Auto Reframe Sequence, pick a target aspect ratio and one of three motion-tracking settings (Slower Motion, Default, Faster Motion).
  • Clip › Synchronize lines up cameras and a separate recorder by audio, timecode or clip markers.
  • Keyboard shortcuts for nearly every command, set under Edit › Keyboard Shortcuts on Windows or in the application menu on a Mac.

Premiere itself is US$22.99 a month for the single app on an annual plan billed monthly, with a 7-day trial. If English captions on a talking head are the whole job, stop here and save the money.

What Premiere still doesn't do: Hinglish in Roman letters (an Adobe feature request for it is open for voting), an Unnest command, and putting commands on mouse buttons. Those gaps are where the plug-ins below earn their price.

What is the best Premiere Pro plugin for cutting silence?

For silence alone, a single-purpose tool is the cheaper buy: AutoCut's silence-only Basic tier is $79 billed yearly, and Recut is the pick if you'd rather pay once and cut outside Premiere. FireCut and mouzeclick do silence as part of a bigger kit.

Silence gets found in one of two ways. A transcript method (Premiere's own pause deletion) finds gaps between transcribed words, so it depends on the language being transcribed. An audio-level method finds stretches quieter than a threshold you set, which works the same in Hindi, Hinglish or English. mouzeclick's Studio Silence tab reads audio levels. AutoCut and FireCut don't say which method they use on the pages we read.

  • AutoCut. Silences is one of the tools in its AI Plan ($14.9/month, $178.8 billed yearly), and the Basic tier ($79 billed yearly) covers silence removal only. It runs in Premiere Pro 2023 to 2027 and DaVinci Resolve 18.6 or later, Mac and Windows, with a 14-day trial and no credit card.
  • FireCut. Silence cutting, J-cuts and podcast auto-edits in Premiere Pro 2022+ and DaVinci Resolve. Starter is $10/mo billed monthly or $5/mo billed yearly, on a page fetched from India that showed a regional discount, with a 7-day trial on every plan.
  • Recut. Not a Premiere panel but a standalone Mac and Windows app that removes silence and exports XML to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, ScreenFlow and CapCut. The homepage shows $129 once or $15 a month (its pricing page still says $99). Three full edits are free, with no account and no watermark, and it handles several cameras and mics.
  • mouzeclick. Studio's Silence tab (Windows and Mac) starts at quieter than −40 dB, pauses from 0.40 s and 0.12 s kept around speech, leaves a music bed alone and keeps a copy of the sequence. On Windows the workspace's Cut desk adds Dialogue, Podcast and Aggressive presets and a Cuts only mode, and Studio's Retakes finds restarted sentences. Details in our Premiere Pro silence remover guide.

Which to choose: in Resolve as well as Premiere, AutoCut or FireCut. For a one-off payment, Recut. If silence is one of several jobs you'd pay for anyway, a kit makes more sense. Side-by-side pages: AutoCut alternative and Recut alternative.

What is the best Premiere Pro plugin for captions, Hindi and Hinglish included?

For plain captions in one of Premiere's 18 languages, Premiere's own are enough. Pay for a plug-in when you want animated caption looks, a language Premiere lacks such as Hinglish in Roman letters, or transcription that stays on your computer.

  • AutoCut AutoCaptions, with automatic transcription and 90+ editable presets; an Advanced Mode went into beta on 17 September 2026. Part of the AI Plan.
  • FireCut captions in 50+ languages, emojis included. Transcription is metered: 25 hours a month on Pro, 100 on Max, and it needs an internet connection.
  • Animation Composer added an Automatic Captions pack on 29 September 2026, which Mister Horse describes as more than 130 animated captions.
  • Capkit by Smallest AI: free, no credit card, 15+ languages including Hinglish, for Premiere and After Effects 26.x. Its page doesn't say which systems it runs on.
  • mouzeclick (Windows only): Studio's captions are written on your computer by Whisper, the open speech model, in 47 languages, with Hinglish in Roman letters and one spelling per word, or Hindi in Devanagari. They land on Premiere's own caption track or Styled on the video in 289 looks in 27 families, in any font on your computer. The workspace's Caption studio adds Word Pop, one text clip per word.

No maker here publishes a Hinglish accuracy test you can check, us included, so run the same 60 seconds of your own mixed-language speech through each trial and count the fixes. Our guides cover auto captions in Premiere Pro and Hinglish captions step by step.

What are the best Premiere Pro plugins for templates, titles and transitions?

If your edits run on ready-made titles and transitions, buy a library: Animation Composer for a free start and a subscription, Motion Bro for packs you buy once, AEJuice for the biggest one-time bundle.

  • Animation Composer (formerly Premiere Composer, renamed 10 June 2026). The free plan has over 1,000 assets and 4 tools and may be used for commercial work; paid has over 6,000 assets at $19.90 a month or $198 billed annually. Premiere 2025 and newer, Mac and Windows, up to 2 computers logged in. Animations keep working if the plug-in is uninstalled.
  • Motion Bro. The plug-in is free; packs are bought once with free updates, such as the 1500 Light Transitions Bundle at $34, and a 10K-transition bundle is shown at $112. Premiere 2022 and newer, Mac and Windows, one purchase code on two devices. Projects open on machines without the plug-in.
  • AEJuice. The I Want It All Bundle Lifetime is $149 once for 133 packs and 20,000+ assets, native in Premiere Pro and After Effects, on 2 computers. No trial, but a free tier of 35 products and a 14-day money-back guarantee. A typical install takes 8 to 20 GB.

mouzeclick is not a template library, and if you need a thousand transitions it is the wrong tool. What it has is smaller and built for the timeline: mouzestate's 15 ready start-and-end looks keyed as Premiere's own keyframes, mouzetrans's 11 transitions on your cuts and, in the Windows workspace, Caption Stack's six looks. Comparisons: Animation Composer alternative and Motion Bro alternative.

Which Premiere Pro plugins make everyday editing faster?

Excalibur if you drive Premiere from the keyboard, mouzeclick if you'd rather drive it from the mouse. Both put effects and commands behind a search box.

  • Excalibur by Knights of the Editing Table: a keyboard command palette for Premiere Pro 2020 and higher. Search and apply effects, presets and transitions, chain actions into your own commands, export selected clips. $120 plus VAT, two machines per user, macOS and Windows. Its licence check uses the internet; version 1.3.5 came out on 27 July 2026.
  • mouzeclick. The Tool wheel opens on F10 or a held right button with 112 Premiere Pro tools in 12 segments, one flick each. Search effects finds any installed effect by typing and pins it to the wheel with Shift+Enter. The Toolbar docks 14 quick jobs, and Unnest puts nests, multicam and merged clips back in one press. Windows and Mac. The full list is on our Premiere Pro tools page, and the mouse shortcuts guide shows the button setup.
  • Motion Studio by Mt. Mograph, the successor to Motion 4: 80+ tools with the full set in After Effects, select tools in Premiere Pro and Illustrator, and an easing tool for Resolve. $13 a seat a month, or $11 on the annual plan, with a 7-day trial and no card.

If you never take your hand off the keyboard, Excalibur fits your habits better than any wheel. If your right hand lives on the mouse, a wheel saves the reach.

Which hardware controllers work best with Premiere Pro?

Buy hardware for dials: TourBox and Logitech's MX Creative Console give you knobs, Stream Deck gives you labelled LCD keys, and if you want neither, put the shortcuts on the mouse you already own.

  • TourBox Elite: USD$239 on promotion (list USD$268), 11 buttons and 3 knobs with haptic feedback, Bluetooth or USB-C, presets for Premiere Pro. TourBox Lite: USD$94.99, 8 buttons. The Elite comes with a 30-day refund.
  • Elgato Stream Deck: the 15-key model is $149.99, Stream Deck + (8 keys, 4 dials) $179.99, Neo (8 keys) $99.99. Premiere works through hotkeys and Marketplace profiles; Elgato's own Adobe plug-in is for Photoshop.
  • Logitech MX Creative Console: $169.99 on sale from $199.99, with a 3-month Adobe Creative membership. Up to 15 keypad pages per app, set up in Logi Options+; Windows 10 or later (not ARM64) and macOS 13 or later.
  • Loupedeck: direct sales ended on 28 March 2025 and warranty support continues. Don't buy one as new kit.
  • The mouse you have. mouzeclick puts Premiere shortcuts, gestures and three wheels on any mouse your computer sees, wired, wireless or Bluetooth, with no driver.

Physical dials win for scrubbing and colour; nothing on a mouse replaces a knob. More detail: TourBox alternative and Stream Deck alternative.

How do the best Premiere Pro plugins compare on price, trial and platform?

Software prices run from free (Capkit, Motion Bro's plug-in, Animation Composer's free plan) to $198 a year (Animation Composer paid), every third-party tool that names its systems runs on Mac and Windows, and only mouzeclick has Windows-only parts. Prices are as each maker's page showed them on 31 October 2026, in the maker's currency; "Not published" means the page didn't say.

How much does a full Premiere Pro plugin stack cost?

A two-tool software stack runs from about $80 to $380 a year in US dollars, and a hardware controller adds roughly $95 to $240 once. Three real-world stacks, at the prices above:

  • Lean: Premiere's own captions, AutoCut's Basic tier for silence ($79 a year) and Motion Bro's free plug-in with one transition pack ($34 once).
  • Talking-head YouTube: AutoCut's AI Plan ($178.8 billed yearly) plus Animation Composer's annual plan ($198) comes to $376.80 a year.
  • Keyboard editor: Excalibur at $120 plus VAT, on top of Premiere's built-ins.

mouzeclick is $249 for a year or $25 a month, for silence, timeline tools, eight panels, the After Effects side and the mouse app, plus captions, Retakes and the workspace on Windows. In US dollars it is not the cheapest way to do any one of those jobs; it adds up when you'd otherwise buy three. A creator's or a friend's code takes 10% off a new customer's first 30-day or 1-year payment. All options are in the pricing section, and the all-in-one Premiere Pro extension page lists everything the plan holds.

Which Premiere Pro plugins work on Mac, and which only on Windows?

Every third-party plug-in on this list that names its systems runs on both Mac and Windows; the Windows-only parts on this page are inside mouzeclick.

  • mouzeclick's workspace, auto captions, styled captions, Hinglish and Retakes are Windows only. Its Silence, Timeline and Guides tabs, Toolbar, Search effects, eight extensions and Tool wheel run on Mac too, on macOS 12 or newer.
  • FireCut's Resolve version also runs on Linux.
  • Logitech's MX Creative Console doesn't support Windows on ARM64. Logi Options+ asks for macOS 14 or later on its own page, while the console page says 13.
  • Stream Deck Neo lists macOS 13 or later and Windows 11 or later.
  • Capkit's page doesn't state its systems; check before you buy into it.

Mac editors who want everything in one kit should lean on the cross-platform plug-ins for captions. mouzeclick's Mac install page lists exactly what the Mac app has.

Which Premiere Pro plugins should you buy first?

Buy for the job that eats most of your week, one trial at a time. Four trials in one week rarely teach you any of them.

  • English talking heads, on a Mac: Premiere's own captions and pause deletion first, then AutoCut if you need more.
  • Hinglish Reels and Shorts, on Windows: try mouzeclick (we make it) and Capkit (free) on the same clip and keep whichever needs fewer fixes.
  • Social edits built on templates: Animation Composer's free plan, then Motion Bro packs for transitions you'll reuse.
  • Premiere and Resolve: AutoCut or FireCut, the two here that run in both.
  • Keyboard-first editors: Excalibur.
  • Mouse-first editors, or anyone with a drawer of plug-ins: mouzeclick's 3-day trial, no card.

Try the Premiere toolkit we make, free for 3 days. One plan with everything included, $25 a month, or $249 for a year.

Questions people ask

Are there good free Premiere Pro plugins?

Yes. Animation Composer's free plan has over 1,000 assets and 4 tools and may be used commercially. Motion Bro's plug-in is free, though its packs cost money. Capkit is free for captions, Hinglish included. Recut gives three full edits free. And Premiere's own Speech to Text, Auto Reframe and pause deletion cost nothing extra on top of your subscription.

What is the difference between a Premiere Pro plugin and an extension?

People use the words loosely. An effects plug-in usually adds effects you drop on clips; an extension is a panel you open under Window › Extensions that works on your project for you, like a silence remover or a template browser. Most tools on this page are extensions. Our plugin vs script vs extension guide explains the difference in more detail.

Do Premiere Pro plugins need an internet connection?

Several do. FireCut needs one for its AI, transcription and stock features, and Excalibur's licence check goes online. mouzeclick needs a connection while it runs, though its silence and caption work happens on your computer. Premiere's own Speech to Text works offline once a language pack is installed. AEJuice validates the licence at install and doesn't check while you edit.

Can I use one plugin licence on two computers?

It varies. AutoCut runs on one computer at a time, and so does a mouzeclick key. Animation Composer allows 2 computers logged in, AEJuice 2 computers, Motion Bro one purchase code on two devices, and Excalibur two machines per user. Recut's licence is for one person on their own Mac and Windows computers.

Will my project still open if I uninstall a plugin?

For some, yes, by design. Mister Horse says Animation Composer animations still work with the plug-in uninstalled, and Motion Bro says its projects open without the plug-in. mouzeclick's edits are Premiere's own keyframes, effects, caption tracks and cuts. For the others, the makers' pages don't say, so test on a copy of a project.

Which Premiere Pro version do these plugins need?

As the makers list them: AutoCut, Premiere Pro 2023 to 2027 on its homepage (its help centre says 2023 to 2026); FireCut 2022 or newer; Motion Bro 2022 or newer; Animation Composer 2025 or newer; Excalibur 2020 or higher; Capkit 26.x. mouzeclick's panel files support Premiere Pro 2020 (14.0) or later; check your own version with its 3-day trial.

Do any of these plugins work in DaVinci Resolve too?

AutoCut runs in DaVinci Resolve 18.6 or later, Free and Studio, and FireCut has a Resolve version that also runs on Linux. Recut exports XML that Resolve opens, AEJuice sells standalone assets that work in Resolve, and Motion Studio has a Resolve easing tool. mouzeclick's panels are for Premiere Pro and After Effects, though its mouse app works in Resolve.

Isn't a round-up written by a plugin maker biased?

It can be, which is why every fact here comes from the maker's own page, linked under Sources, with the date we checked. We list mouzeclick in the same format as everyone else, name its Windows-only parts, and say where AutoCut, Animation Composer, Excalibur or a hardware controller is the better buy.
