Motion Bro alternative: mouzeclick vs Motion Bro, one plan vs paid packs
Motion Bro is a free After Effects and Premiere Pro plugin from Videolancer that applies preset packs you buy once, such as a 10K transitions bundle at $112. mouzeclick is a different kind of Motion Bro alternative: one plan of tools, with 15 After Effects and 11 Premiere Pro transitions, captions, silence removal and a mouse Tool wheel. If transitions are all you need, buy Motion Bro packs.
- Disclosure: mouzeclick publishes this page and makes one of the two tools. No affiliate links.
- Motion Bro is made by Videolancer, not Mister Horse: its own site says "Powered by Videolancer"
- Motion Bro prices are as motionbro.com showed them on 31 Oct 2026
- mouzeclick's transition extensions run on Windows and Mac; its workspaces and auto captions are Windows only
Who makes Motion Bro, and what does it do?
Motion Bro is made by Videolancer. The footer of motionbro.com credits Videolancer, and its help articles are posted by Videolancer. It isn't a Mister Horse product: Mister Horse, who make Animation Composer, don't list it on their product or pricing pages.
The product is a free panel for After Effects 2021 or newer and Premiere Pro 2022 or newer, on Windows and macOS. On its own the panel is a browser: you buy preset packs, mostly through Gumroad, and the plugin shows and applies them. What the panel adds:
- Master Scene. Link every preset to one master scene and control the effects from one place.
- Adaptive aspect ratios for the presets.
- Edit inside the panel, and make and sell your own packs at no charge.
- Projects open without the plugin. Motion Bro says a project with its presets works on a computer that doesn't have the plugin installed, which matters when you hand a project to someone else.
You install it from the Creative Cloud desktop app, with a ZXP/UXP installer (the current build is 7.3.4), or by unzipping it into the extensions folder by hand.
How do Motion Bro and mouzeclick compare?
Motion Bro is a free browser for packs you buy once; mouzeclick is a plan of tools with everything included. Side by side, as each maker's page showed it on 31 October 2026:
| Checked 31 Oct 2026 | Motion Bro | mouzeclick |
|---|---|---|
| Price as shown | Plugin free. Packs once, e.g. 1500 Light Transitions Bundle $34, Essential Motion Bro Transitions Bundle $41, the 10K transitions bundle $112 (shown against $333) | $25 a month, $249 a year, or $499 once for one of the first 100 lifetime keys |
| What you get | A free panel, plus the packs you buy: 10K transitions in the biggest bundle, a sound pack with over 50 sound styles | A mouse app, a Tool wheel, 22 extensions and, on Windows, two workspaces |
| Host apps | After Effects 2021+ and Premiere Pro 2022+ | Panels in After Effects and Premiere Pro; the mouse app works in any app. No minimum Adobe version on the site |

Is a free plugin with paid packs cheaper than one plan?
For transitions alone, usually yes: packs are paid once and kept, while a plan keeps billing. Motion Bro's 10K transitions bundle was $112 on 31 October 2026, paid once, with free updates and unlimited projects. Outside India that's less than one year of mouzeclick at $249; in India mouzeclick is billed in rupees, so compare at today's exchange rate.
- One transition pack: $34 to $41 once, yours to keep.
- The whole 10K bundle: $112 once, also yours to keep.
- Transitions plus cleanup: captions, silence removal, Premiere timeline fixes and a wheel on your mouse. Motion Bro covers the first part; the rest means buying other tools. This is the only case where one plan with everything included competes on money.
- A busy month only: mouzeclick's 30-day pass is $25, paid once, with no auto-debit. A renew link arrives 3 days before it ends.
- Paying once: a mouzeclick lifetime key is $499, for the first 100 buyers only. It works for as long as mouzeclick runs, and retiring the service needs at least 60 days' notice.
- Codes: a creator or friend code takes 10% off a new customer's first 30-day or 1-year payment.
One more sum to do: packs bought once tend to multiply. If you've bought five or six over the years, add them up before you call the plugin free. Current mouzeclick prices are in the pricing section.
What transitions do you get in mouzeclick as a Motion Bro alternative?
26 transitions in two extensions that run on Windows and Mac, plus shakes, accents and text styles. Against Motion Bro's 10,000 that's a short shelf. What you get instead is controls on every transition: duration, ease, direction and strength, set each time you apply it.
- mouzeflow (After Effects, Windows and Mac): 15 transitions between layers. Push, Zoom through, Whip, Spin, Circle reveal, Shape wipe, Split, Blinds, Pixelate, Blur dissolve, Light flash, Glitch, Ink reveal, Iris and Swipe card. Duration, ease, direction, angle, strength and colour for each, with motion blur on fast moves.
- mouzetrans (Premiere Pro, Windows and Mac): 11 transitions on your cuts. Zoom in, Zoom out, Whip, Spin, Slide push, Blur dissolve, Light flash, Shake hit, Stretch, Glitch jump and Fade to black. A preview plays in the panel, or steps frame by frame.
- Shakes (After Effects workspace, Windows): 14 camera shakes and flickers, previewed before you apply. See the guide to After Effects camera shake presets.
- mouzeaccent (After Effects, Windows and Mac): 12 accents and finishing touches, such as Ripple rings, Pulse dot, Speed lines and Emphasis shake.
- mouzetype (After Effects, Windows and Mac): 17 kinetic type styles, as real After Effects text animators you can retime.
Every extension card, with what each control does, is on the extensions page.
How do you add a transition in plain After Effects and Premiere Pro?
In Premiere Pro, drag a transition from the Effects panel (Video Transitions › Dissolve › Cross Dissolve, for example) onto the cut, then drag its edges in the timeline to set the length. After Effects has no transitions on cuts, so you build them from an effect and two keyframes:
- Trim the two layers so they overlap by the length you want.
- On the upper layer, apply Effect › Transition › Linear Wipe (or Radial Wipe, or Block Dissolve).
- Keyframe Transition Completion from 0% to 100% across the overlap.
- Ease the keys with Animation › Keyframe Assistant › Easy Ease, and raise Feather so the edge isn't hard.
Fine for one cut. For 30 cuts in a vertical edit, it's 30 rounds of the same four steps.
With Motion Bro you open the panel, pick a preset from a pack you own, apply it and adjust it, with the Master Scene holding the controls in one place. With mouzeclick in After Effects, select the layers, pick one of mouzeflow's 15 and press Apply: it goes in at every junction of the selected layers, or at the playhead over everything below. In Premiere Pro, mouzetrans puts its transition on the cut under the playhead, between two selected clips, or on every cut between the selected clips. Each extension's Remove takes off only what it added.
Where is Motion Bro the better pick?
Motion Bro is the better pick when transitions and presets are the job, and in a few more places:
- Sheer choice. 10K transitions in one $112 bundle. Nothing in mouzeclick competes on numbers.
- No subscription. The plugin is free, packs are bought once and updates are free.
- Handing off projects. Motion Bro says its projects open without the plugin. mouzeclick doesn't promise that for the whole kit. Some tools write native results (mouzetype adds real After Effects text animators, mouzestate writes Premiere's own keyframes), but check each tool before you send a project out.
- Two machines. One purchase code works on two devices, say a desktop and a laptop. A mouzeclick key runs on one at a time.
- Familiar install. It installs from the Creative Cloud desktop app.
- Making your own. You can build and sell your own packs through it.
- A Mac. The whole of Motion Bro runs on macOS. mouzeclick's workspaces and auto captions don't.
When is mouzeclick the better Motion Bro alternative?
When your hours go into editing rather than decorating. Motion Bro's pages describe a preset browser; these mouzeclick tools do the jobs around it:
- Silence remover (mouzeclick Studio in Premiere Pro, Windows and Mac): defaults of quieter than −40 dB and pauses from 0.40 s, with 0.12 s kept around speech. It keeps a copy of the sequence and cuts nothing until you press Remove. More in the Premiere Pro silence remover guide.
- Captions (Studio, Windows): written on your computer by Whisper, in 47 languages including Hinglish, then styled on the video in 289 looks across 27 families. See auto captions in Premiere Pro.
- mouzebeat (Premiere Pro, Windows and Mac): finds the beat of the music, adds beat markers, cuts each clip to 1, 2, 4 or 8 beats and ducks the music under dialogue. The beat markers guide has the steps.
- Timeline fixes: Unnest, Spread and Close synced, Close all gaps, Fill frame. Premiere has no Unnest command; the Premiere Pro tools page shows how mouzeclick's works.
- The Tool wheel: 112 Premiere Pro tools in 12 segments, opened with F10 or a held right mouse button, on any mouse.
If two or more of those are jobs you do every week, one plan starts to make sense. If none are, keep Motion Bro and skip us.
Can you run Motion Bro and mouzeclick together?
Yes. They do different jobs, so the split is natural: mouzeclick for the cut and the cleanup, Motion Bro for the finished looks.
- Cut the talking head in Premiere Pro, remove the pauses with Studio, and caption it on Windows.
- Add Motion Bro transitions and titles where the edit needs flash.
- Use mouzetrans for quick in-between cuts you don't want to hunt through a pack for.
- Keep the Tool wheel and your mouse buttons for everything else: labels, markers, punch-ins, effects.
Weighing another pack library instead? The AEJuice comparison and the Animation Composer comparison use the same format.
Does Motion Bro or mouzeclick work on Mac?
Motion Bro does, in full: its install guide covers Windows and macOS. mouzeclick runs on macOS 12 or newer, with gaps.
- On Mac: the mouse app, wheels and gestures, the Tool wheels, Search effects, Studio's Silence, Timeline and Guides tabs, and all 22 extensions, so mouzeflow, mouzetrans, mouzetype and mouzebeat all work.
- Windows only: both workspaces (so Shakes and Type studio), auto, styled and Hinglish captions, Retakes, cloud sync and in-app updates.
- First launch: the Mac app isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to allow it once. The Mac install guide shows where.
Try mouzeclick's transitions and Studio on your own edit for 3 days. One plan with everything included, $25 a month, or $249 for a year.
Questions people ask
Is Motion Bro made by Mister Horse?
No. Motion Bro's own site says it is powered by Videolancer, and its help articles are posted by Videolancer. Mister Horse makes Animation Composer, which used to be called Premiere Composer in its Premiere version, and Motion Bro isn't on Mister Horse's product or pricing pages.
Is the Motion Bro plugin really free?
Yes. Motion Bro says it charges no fee for the plugin and has no paid plans for it. What you pay for is packs, each bought once and used in unlimited projects with free updates, from $34 to $41 for single bundles on 31 October 2026, or $112 for the 10K transitions bundle.
Will a project with Motion Bro presets open without the plugin?
Motion Bro says it will. mouzeclick makes that promise tool by tool rather than for everything: mouzestate writes Premiere's own keyframes so the clips play anywhere, mouzsplit builds split screens with Premiere's own Crop and Motion, and mouzetype adds real After Effects text animators. Check a tool's card before you hand a project over.
On how many computers can I use Motion Bro and mouzeclick?
A Motion Bro purchase code works on two devices, for example a desktop and a laptop. A mouzeclick key runs on one computer at a time, Windows or Mac. To switch, release the old computer from your account page or inside the app, then activate on the new one.
Which versions of After Effects and Premiere Pro do they need?
Motion Bro needs After Effects 2021 or newer and Premiere Pro 2022 or newer. mouzeclick doesn't publish a minimum Adobe version, so run the 3-day trial on the exact version you edit in before you pay. The trial covers the Premiere Pro and After Effects tools on one computer.
Does Motion Bro need an internet connection?
For activation and packs, yes: it activates online and its page mentions connection errors during activation or pack installs. Whether it needs the internet after that isn't published. mouzeclick needs an internet connection while it runs; if it drops, the shortcuts pause and your mouse works as a normal mouse.
Does mouzeclick have a free version like Motion Bro?
No. mouzeclick has a 3-day trial with no card instead. The key arrives by email and the 3 days start the first time you use it. During the trial the Options and Orbit wheels hold 3 favourites; the Premiere Pro and After Effects tools work on one computer.
Is there a mouzeclick discount code?
A code from a creator mouzeclick works with, or from a friend's account, takes 10% off a new customer's first 30-day pass or 1-year key. It doesn't apply to lifetime keys or to a monthly subscription that renews by itself.
