Privacy policy

What we store about you, why, who else touches it, and how to get it removed.

The short version

We store your email, your licence, which computers use it, your synced shortcut settings, and anything you type into your account details. Payments go through Razorpay and we never see your card. We do not sell data. We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and use the Meta Pixel to see which ads lead to visits and purchases, outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland only. We use Google Analytics to count visits to the website.

What we collect and why

• Email address. Your account identity, sign-in codes, licence emails and payment receipts.
• Name, phone, company if you add them on the account page. Shown inside your app and used to contact you about your subscription.
• Licence and payment records. Your key, plan, status, paid-through date, and the Razorpay subscription and payment identifiers. Razorpay handles the card itself under its own privacy policy.
• Sign-in methods. If you add a passkey, we store its public key and a device label. Your face or fingerprint never leaves your device. If you use Sign in with Google, Google confirms your email address to us; we do not receive your Google password or contacts.
• Computers. A hashed fingerprint of each computer that activates a key, its name as reported by its operating system, the app version, and when it last checked in. Used to enforce the one-computer-per-key limit, to allow one free trial per computer, and to help with support.
• Check-ins. The app contacts our server every couple of minutes to confirm the licence. Each check-in carries your key and the computer fingerprint, nothing about what you are doing on the computer.
• Synced settings. Your profiles, shortcuts, macros and wheels, stored so they follow you between computers. Stored as you saved them, not encrypted at rest beyond our provider's disk encryption, so do not put secrets in them.
• Referral and code data. Your referral code, who signed up, opened the app, paid or was refunded through it, and which rewards were paid. For a creator code: the same counts, the payments made with it, the commission owed and the payouts recorded. A code's owner sees counts and amounts, never the buyers' emails. Creators' payout details (bank or UPI, and tax details) are kept by mouzeclick outside the website.
• Support material you send us, such as log files. The app's log records events and errors; it does not record keystrokes or the content of your work.
• Website basics. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention, for a short period.

What we do not collect

We do not record what you type, click, or edit. The app watches your mouse buttons only to apply your shortcuts, on your computer, and sends none of that to us.

Cookies and storage

After you sign in, the website keeps a sign-in token in your browser until you sign out. It also remembers the site look you chose. If you arrived through a referral or creator link, or typed a code when asking for a free trial, it keeps that code for 90 days in a small first-party cookie, so the code's owner gets credit and the code is filled in at checkout. On the account page, Google's sign-in script may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies to count visits and see which pages are read; for visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland it runs without cookies. Your account, licence and payment pages are not measured. Outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, the Meta Pixel sets first-party cookies (_fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from an ad) so Meta can tell which ads work; checkout passes those two values, your IP address and browser name to us, and when you first pay (for a subscription, or a 30-day, yearly or lifetime payment) we send Meta your hashed email, those values and the amount paid.

Who else handles your data

• Cloudflare hosts the website, the licence server and the database, in data centres worldwide.
• Razorpay processes payments and subscriptions.
• Resend delivers our emails.
• Google provides Sign in with Google, only when you choose it, and Google Analytics, which sees pages viewed, rough location and device type on the public website, never your account, licence or payment details.
• Meta receives ad measurement data from the Meta Pixel and, when you first pay (for a subscription, or a 30-day, yearly or lifetime payment), a hashed email address and the purchase amount (not for visitors in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland).

Each of these acts on our instructions and under its own security commitments. We do not share your data with anyone else except when the law requires it.

Where your data lives

On Cloudflare's network, which may store and process data outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. By using mouzeclick you agree to that transfer.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account has a licence, plus 12 months, so you can come back without losing your settings. Payment records are kept for the period Indian tax law requires. Server logs are kept for a few weeks. You can ask us to delete your account and settings sooner.

Your rights

Email us to see, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you. Deleting your account ends any active licence. You can also release computers and change your details from your account page at any time, and cancel by emailing [email protected]. If you are in a country with a data protection authority, you may complain to it; we would rather hear from you first.

Security

Everything travels over HTTPS. Licence keys are long random strings, sign-in codes expire in minutes, and admin access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and if we ever learn of a breach that affects you we will tell you by email promptly.

Children

mouzeclick is for professional and hobby editors and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly keep data about them.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
