One panel in After Effects.
One in Premiere Pro.

The mouzeclick workspaces put your tools, presets, rigs, captions, colours and curves in one panel inside each app, with search, a workspace switcher and six themes. Both come with every mouzeclick licence on Windows.

mouzeclick installs both panels for you. Open either from Window › Extensions › mouzeclick workspace.

Where the After Effects panel opens: a welcome card, four ways into a workspace and four everyday shortcuts.

  • Choose a workspace. Motion & effects, Type & text, Shapes & layout and Color & palettes, each with a one-line summary.
  • Start with a shortcut. Auto captions, Easing curves, Adjustment layer and Organize project, one click each.
  • Explore motion tools. The welcome card's button takes you straight to Motion lab.
  • Project organizer. Scans the project, then places items into a clean numbered structure. Nothing is deleted, and a switch also moves footage you never use.
  • Composition board. Lays selected precomp layers out as a presentation board, with columns, a gutter and comp-name labels. Static 2D layers only, and Restore puts them back.

Make layers, move anchors and edit transforms without leaving the panel.

  • Anchor grid. Nine buttons send the anchor to any corner, edge midpoint or the centre. Shift-click the centre to centre the layer in the comp.
  • One-click layers. A null (Shift-click: at the centre of the selection), an adjustment layer sized to the comp, a solid in the swatch colour, a camera, text and shape.
  • Comp and layer tools. Comp cut, Split layer, Precomp sep (Alt-click also crops each precomp), Un-precomp, and True dup for an unlinked copy of a precomp.
  • Paste image. The image on your clipboard lands in the comp as a new layer, above your selection and matching its timing. Copied SVG code comes in as a vector.
  • Text exploder. Characters, words, lines or paragraphs onto their own layers, or Separate text for two balanced lines.
  • Transform, live. Scrub Anchor Point, Position, Scale, Rotation and Opacity, step between keyframes on each row, Reset, and undo the last slider drag. 3D layers add X and Y Rotation.
  • Appears when it fits. Offset for two or more layers, Keyframe utilities for selected keys (Reverse, Loop dup, Reposition, Smart bake), Shape properties for shape layers, Text re-align for text and a Counter Value row.
  • Also. Fill, Elastic, Bounce, Gradient lock, and Purge, which asks before it clears the cache.

Effects, presets and animation rigs

Four sub-tabs: Fx presets, Shakes, Map rigs and Ss to ae (beta). Search the presets by name or tag, as full rows or compact icons.

  • Orb generator. Places layers on a circle, sphere or path driven by a null, or builds a cloner + effector rig. Its 3D carousel tab has six looks.
  • SaaS effects. Product-video rigs such as UI Stagger, 3D Cursor, Proximity Hover, Halftone Wave, UI Carousel and Glass Panel. Select layers, pick a rig, press Create; several keep their settings live on a null or in Essential Graphics.
  • Halftone Wave. A glowing dot shockwave out of a shape, text, logo or button, inside or behind it, with one to three waves.
  • Silence remover. Cuts the pauses out of the selected layers with Dialogue, Podcast or Aggressive presets: close the gaps, keep them or only add markers.
  • Comp resizer. Size, duration and frame rate for several comps at once, with the content kept in place.
  • Highlighter. A box, underline or strike that resizes with the text and grows on from any of nine directions.
  • Number counter. A currency symbol, a thousands separator and short formats such as 10.4K, with keyframes for its value.
  • Project downgrader. Opens a project saved in a newer After Effects. Your original is backed up first, and a compatible copy opens.
  • Shakes. 14 camera shakes and flickers, each previewed on the mouzeclick mouse. Click to preview, double-click to apply, then set Speed, Strength and a flash.
  • Map rigs. Frame any place on a live map, choose whose borders it shows, add layers, routes and camera moves, then Create Map in After Effects. Or type the steps: “fly from Mumbai to Dubai; pin London”. The imagery loads online.
  • Ss to ae.Beta Drop a UI screenshot, or bring in a layered .psd or .ai file, and it is rebuilt as layers in After Effects and animated in.
  • Also in Fx presets. Proximity, 3D extrusion, Glass morph, Font replacer (beta), SRT importer with a Subtitle editor, Organize project, Mask layer splitter, Auto relinker and Mark audio beats.

  • Remove + ripple, or Cuts only. Close the gaps, or just add frame-safe cuts and decide yourself.
  • Check before you cut. The waveform shows every gap, and active gaps, time to clean and time kept are counted live. Switch gaps on or off, and undo the last auto cut.

Smooth scrolling.

Lists glide on the mouse wheel. Graphs, timelines, sliders and number fields keep their own wheel.

Less motion when you ask.

With reduced motion on in your system, the light stands still, transitions switch off and scrolling is not eased.

Narrow or wide.

In a narrow panel the tiles stack into one column and the quick workspaces show icons only; in a wide one they spread to three columns.

How to get it

  2. 2

mouzeclick adds one to After Effects and one to Premiere Pro for you. Already a customer? They come to your key too.

  3. 3

Open it from the Window menu.

Then pick a theme with the Appearance button.

Same tools, same results.

Questions

Before you open it.

Do the workspaces cost extra?

No. Since 0.58.40 they come with every mouzeclick licence on Windows. mouzeclick is one plan with every tool and every extension in it. See the price.

I already pay for mouzeclick. Do I get them?

Yes. Your plan stays as it is, and the workspaces come to your key like every other tool and extension. With 0.58.40, open either from Window › Extensions › mouzeclick workspace.

Is it on Mac?

The workspaces are part of mouzeclick on Windows. The Mac app does not include them.

Did any tool change with the new look?

No. Every tile is the original button, so each tool, preset and dialog works exactly as before. Only the look changed.

Where are my captions transcribed?

On your computer. In After Effects the Caption studio dialog says no data leaves your machine. In Premiere Pro each speech model downloads the first time you use it and then runs on your PC; the two models for Indian languages may first ask you to accept their publisher's access terms.

Do any tools need the internet?

Some do. Map rigs loads its map imagery online, Icons in Editors searches online icon sets, and in Premiere Pro each speech model downloads the first time you use it, then runs offline.

Can After Effects and Premiere Pro use different themes?

Yes. Each app remembers its own theme and applies it before the panel first appears.

Both workspaces, included.

The After Effects and Premiere Pro workspaces come with every mouzeclick licence on Windows, alongside every other tool and extension. One plan, everything in it.
