AEJuice alternative: mouzeclick vs AEJuice, tools vs assets
mouzeclick is an AEJuice alternative only if what you're missing is tools, not assets. AEJuice's I Want It All Bundle Lifetime sells 133 packs and 20,000+ ready-made assets for $149 once. mouzeclick is one plan of tools for After Effects and Premiere Pro plus a mouse app: silence removal, captions, text presets, easing curves and a Tool wheel. The two do different jobs, and they run side by side.
- Disclosure: mouzeclick publishes this page and makes one of the two tools. No affiliate links.
- AEJuice prices are as aejuice.com showed them on 31 Oct 2026, in US dollars
- The mouzeclick workspaces and auto captions are Windows only; its 15 After Effects extensions and the Tool wheel also run on Mac
- AEJuice has a free tier and a 14-day money-back guarantee; mouzeclick has a 3-day trial with no card and no refunds after payment
What is the difference between AEJuice and mouzeclick?
AEJuice sells content and mouzeclick sells tools. With AEJuice you drag in something finished, a transition, a title, a VFX element, and adjust it. With mouzeclick you do your own edit faster: cut the pauses, caption the talk, ease the keys, rename the layers.
AEJuice's best-selling bundle, the I Want It All Bundle Lifetime, holds 133 packs, 20,000+ ready-to-import assets in 550+ categories and over 1,000 sound effects. You install them through the Pack Manager desktop app, one pack at a time, so a typical install is 8 to 20 GB rather than the full 250+ GB. The assets run natively in After Effects and Premiere Pro, and AEJuice also ships standalone versions for DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Vegas, OBS and Premiere Rush.
mouzeclick is three things on one licence:
- A mouse app for Windows and Mac: per-app buttons, gestures, three wheels, and a Tool wheel with 114 After Effects tools in 13 groups and 112 Premiere Pro tools.
- 22 extensions: 15 for After Effects and 8 for Premiere Pro, with mouzegrade in both. They run on Windows and Mac; every card is on the extensions page.
- Two workspaces, one panel inside After Effects and one inside Premiere Pro, on Windows only. The After Effects workspace has 11 sections and 800+ tools, presets and templates.
It does carry some content: 159 text animation and expression presets, 81 UI templates, 14 camera shakes, 15 transitions in mouzeflow and 90 UI icons that draw on. That's a toolkit with a shelf of presets, not a 20,000-asset library. If a client wants 40 flashy transitions by Friday, AEJuice gets you there and mouzeclick doesn't.
How do AEJuice and mouzeclick compare side by side?
AEJuice is a one-time bundle (or a subscription) of assets; mouzeclick is one plan of tools with everything included. The rest, as each maker's own page showed it on 31 October 2026:
| Checked 31 Oct 2026 | AEJuice I Want It All Bundle Lifetime | mouzeclick |
|---|---|---|
| Price as shown | $149 one-time (USD), shown against $8412. The All Access subscription starts at $7 a month billed yearly ($84 a year). Auto Captions is a separate $19 a month | $25 a month, $249 a year, or $499 once for one of the first 100 lifetime keys |
| What you get | 133 packs, 20,000+ assets, 550+ categories, 1,000+ sound effects, 3 hours of training | A mouse app, a Tool wheel, 22 extensions and, on Windows, two workspaces |
| Host apps | After Effects (CC 2015 to current) and Premiere Pro; standalone assets for Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Vegas, OBS and Premiere Rush | Panels in After Effects and Premiere Pro. The mouse app works in any app, with ready-made profiles for Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects and Photoshop |
| Windows / Mac | Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.14+; Pack Manager is a universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel | Windows 10 and 11, macOS 12 or newer. Workspaces, auto captions, Retakes and cloud sync are Windows only |
| Trial | No timed trial; a free tier of 35 products and 10 courses instead, no card | 3 days, no card |
| Refunds | 14-day money-back guarantee | None after payment; a full refund if it doesn't work on your computer and can't be fixed within 7 days |
| Seats | One licence, 2 computers (floating) | One key, one computer at a time, Windows or Mac |
| Internet | Licence checked when a pack installs; no DRM checks while editing | Needs an internet connection while it runs |
| Later releases | Owned packs keep updating; packs released after you buy aren't added, but you can upgrade at a discount | Updates are included; a lifetime key gets every update for as long as mouzeclick is made |
For most people the first two rows decide it.
Is AEJuice worth it, or do you need an AEJuice alternative?
AEJuice is worth it if you finish videos from ready-made pieces every week: $149 once for 20,000+ assets is cheap per asset by any measure. You need an AEJuice alternative when your hours go somewhere a pack can't reach.
Look at last week's projects and where the hours went:
- Picking and placing finished looks (transitions, titles, overlays, sound hits). That's AEJuice's job. Stay with it, or add to it.
- Cleaning up raw footage: pauses in a talking head, captions, retakes. A pack doesn't touch that. mouzeclick's Silence remover and Caption studio do.
- Repeating small moves: anchor to the corner, ease these keys, precompose each layer, rename 40 layers. That's toolkit work, and it adds up.
- Reaching for menus. If you dig through the Effect menu all day, a wheel under your hand changes more than another library would.
With any big bundle, count the packs you reused last month. If it's two or three, the gap is in your workflow, not your library.
How do you do the same jobs in After Effects alone, and with mouzeclick?
Here is the plain After Effects way next to the mouzeclick way for six everyday jobs. AEJuice covers the first two with finished assets; the other four are where a toolkit earns its place.
| Job | After Effects alone | mouzeclick |
|---|---|---|
| A transition between layers | Effect › Transition › Linear Wipe (or Gradient Wipe, Radial Wipe), then keyframe Transition Completion from 0% to 100% at every cut | mouzeflow: select the layers, pick one of 15 transitions, press Apply. It goes in at every junction. Windows and Mac |
| Animate a title | Effects & Presets panel › Animation Presets › Text, then drag a preset onto the text layer | Type studio: the preview follows your mouse, double-click to apply (Windows). Or mouzetype: 17 styles as real text animators you can retime (Windows and Mac) |
| Shake the camera on a hit | Alt-click (Option-click on Mac) the Position stopwatch, type a wiggle() expression; to animate its strength, add Effect › Expression Controls › Slider Control and link it | Motion lab › Shakes: 14 camera shakes and flickers, previewed, with Speed and Strength controls; double-click to apply (Windows) |
| Remove pauses from a talking head | By hand: scrub the waveform, Edit › Split Layer at each pause, delete the gaps, slide the layers together | Motion lab › Silence remover: Dialogue, Podcast or Aggressive, then close the gaps, keep them or only add markers (Windows) |
| Ease 30 keyframes the same way | Select them, Animation › Keyframe Assistant › Easy Ease, then shape the curve in the Graph Editor | Easing lab: 21 Def and 23 Base curves in six curve types, double-click to apply (Windows). mouzerun Ease buttons do it on Mac too |
| Rename 40 layers | Select a layer, press Enter, type, repeat 40 times | Timeline › Rename: a pattern with find and replace, case and numbering, previewed first (Windows). mouzekit's rename with numbering on Mac too |
On a Mac the workspace rows don't apply, but mouzeflow, mouzetype, mouzekit and mouzerun do. For more on single jobs, see the guides to After Effects text animation presets, camera shake presets, easing presets and batch renaming layers.
What does an AEJuice alternative like mouzeclick do that a pack can't?
It works on your footage and your layers instead of adding new ones. AEJuice does sell Auto Captions as its own $19-a-month product; the rest of this list is the kind of work a pack of presets doesn't do.
- Caption studio (Windows): captions transcribed on your own computer, with Auto Detect, Hinglish and 99 named languages, ready-made looks and 13 word animations. You read the text through and fix words before the captions are built. More in the guide to auto captions in After Effects.
- Silence remover (Windows): cuts the pauses out of selected layers with three presets, as in the table above.
- Toolbox (Windows): a nine-button anchor grid, one-click layers, Comp cut, Split layer, Precomp sep, Un-precomp, True dup, Text exploder and a live Transform editor.
- mouzekit (Windows and Mac): 28 tools in seven groups, one undo step each. Rigs such as Wiggle, Trail, Ring and Squash keep their settings in Effect Controls, ready to keyframe.
- mousecut (Windows and Mac): your comp as an editing timeline with ten tools, ripple and roll included.
- The After Effects Tool wheel (Windows and Mac): hold F10 over a comp, or hold the right mouse button, and 114 tools in 13 groups fan out under the pointer. Four layouts to start from: Default, Motion Design, Animate and Finishing.
- Color desk (Windows): 31 SaaS palettes, 39 trending palettes, 66 gradients and 99 marketing solids, plus a colour-blindness simulator and an AA/AAA contrast checker.
The all-in-one After Effects extension guide walks through the whole panel, section by section.
Where is AEJuice the better pick?
AEJuice is the better pick whenever the job is finished content, and in a few other places worth knowing before you buy anything.
- You need volume. 20,000+ assets for $149 once. No toolkit, mouzeclick included, comes close on content.
- You edit outside Adobe. AEJuice's standalone assets work in DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Vegas, OBS and Premiere Rush. mouzeclick's panels only run in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
- You work offline. AEJuice checks the licence at install and then runs with no DRM checks while you edit. mouzeclick needs an internet connection while it runs, and its shortcuts pause if the connection drops.
- You want something free to keep. AEJuice's free tier (35 products, 10 courses, 2,000+ assets) has no end date. mouzeclick's trial lasts 3 days.
- You want a refund window. AEJuice gives 14 days. mouzeclick gives no refunds after payment, which is why its trial exists.
- You're on a Mac. Pack Manager runs natively on Apple Silicon. mouzeclick's workspaces and auto captions don't run on Mac at all.
- You use two machines. One AEJuice licence covers 2 computers. A mouzeclick key runs on one at a time.
- You never want another subscription. $149 and you're done; mouzeclick's lifetime keys stop at 100.
What do AEJuice and mouzeclick cost over three years?
Outside India, AEJuice costs less over three years: $149 once for the lifetime bundle if you never upgrade, against 3 × $249 for three yearly mouzeclick keys or $499 for a lifetime key. In India mouzeclick is billed in rupees, so compare the figures below at today's exchange rate.
- AEJuice bundle: $149 once. Packs released later aren't added; an upgrade costs extra at a discount the page doesn't state.
- AEJuice All Access: from $7 a month billed yearly, which is $84 a year; the top tier is billed $468 a year.
- mouzeclick yearly: $249 a year, paid once for 365 days.
- mouzeclick monthly: $25, as a 30-day pass you pay once or a subscription that renews by itself.
- mouzeclick lifetime: $499 once, first 100 keys only. A lifetime key works for as long as mouzeclick runs, and retiring the service needs at least 60 days' notice.
- Codes: a creator or friend code takes 10% off a new customer's first 30-day or 1-year payment.
So the fair question isn't price per asset, where AEJuice wins easily. It's whether $249 a year buys back enough of your week in cleanup, captions and repeated moves. Current prices are in the pricing section.
Can you use AEJuice and mouzeclick together?
Yes, and if you already own the bundle that's the setup we'd suggest. They don't fight over files: AEJuice installs its packs through Pack Manager, and mouzeclick installs its own panels and keeps them up to date itself.
- Cut and clean in Premiere Pro with mouzeclick Studio: Silence on Windows and Mac, Captions and Retakes on Windows.
- Build graphics in After Effects with AEJuice transitions and titles from its panel.
- Do the in-between work with mouzeclick: anchors, easing, precomps and renaming, from the Tool wheel on F10 or a held right button.
- Make your favourite look one click. Save the adjusted effects with Animation › Save Animation Preset, then put that preset on a mouzerun Preset button. mouzerun buttons also run scripts, expressions, menu commands and eases.
Comparing a different kind of library? The Animation Composer comparison covers Mister Horse's free plugin the same way.
Do AEJuice and mouzeclick work on Mac?
AEJuice does, fully: Windows 10/11 and macOS 10.14 or newer, with Pack Manager running natively on Apple Silicon and Intel. mouzeclick runs on macOS 12 or newer, but not all of it.
- On Mac: the mouse app, wheels and gestures, the Tool wheels, Search effects, mouzeclick Studio's Silence, Timeline and Guides tabs, and all 22 extensions.
- Windows only: both workspaces, auto, styled and Hinglish captions, Retakes, cloud sync and in-app updates.
- First launch: Apple hasn't notarized the Mac app yet, so macOS asks you to allow it once. The Mac install guide shows where.
If you edit on a Mac and want captions and silence removal inside After Effects, mouzeclick isn't the answer today, and we'd rather say so here than after you've paid.
Try mouzeclick next to your AEJuice packs for 3 days. One plan with everything included, $25 a month, or $249 for a year.
Questions people ask
Is AEJuice free?
Partly. AEJuice has a free tier of 35 products and 10 courses, with 2,000+ assets, that you keep with no credit card. The big library is paid: the I Want It All Bundle Lifetime was $149 one-time on 31 October 2026. mouzeclick has no free tier; it has a 3-day trial with no card that covers the After Effects and Premiere Pro tools on one computer.
Does AEJuice need the internet while you edit?
Not by AEJuice's account. Pack Manager checks your licence when you install a pack, and the files then run natively with no DRM checks while you edit. mouzeclick works differently: it needs an internet connection while it runs. If the connection drops, its shortcuts pause and your mouse behaves like a normal mouse until the connection is back.
How many computers can I use AEJuice and mouzeclick on?
AEJuice's lifetime licence covers 2 computers, floating, for one user. A mouzeclick key runs on one computer at a time, Windows or Mac. To move it, release the old computer from your account page or inside the app. Teams buying 6 or more monthly mouzeclick keys get 10% off every key.
Does mouzeclick include transitions like AEJuice?
26, not thousands. mouzeflow puts 15 transitions between After Effects layers and mouzetrans puts 11 on Premiere Pro cuts, both on Windows and Mac, each with its own duration, ease and direction. If transitions are most of your work, AEJuice or Motion Bro gives you far more to choose from.
Does mouzeclick work in DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro?
Its panels don't; they live inside After Effects and Premiere Pro. The mouse app works in other apps, with ready-made profiles and shortcut libraries for DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and Photoshop, and a profile of its own for every other app. AEJuice's standalone assets cover Resolve and Final Cut Pro, which is a real point in its favour.
Is there a discount code for mouzeclick?
Yes. A code from a creator mouzeclick works with, or from a friend's account, takes 10% off a new customer's first 30-day pass or 1-year key. Codes don't apply to lifetime keys or to a monthly subscription that renews by itself, and renewals are at the full price.
What happens when a mouzeclick plan runs out?
The app pauses and your mouse keeps working as a normal mouse. A 30-day pass emails a renew link 3 days before it ends and a yearly key 7 days before. An AEJuice lifetime bundle never runs out, though packs released after you buy aren't added unless you upgrade.
Should a beginner buy AEJuice or mouzeclick first?
Start with AEJuice's free tier and After Effects' own presets, and learn where your time actually goes. Buy tools once the same jobs keep repeating. mouzeclick's trial is only 3 days, so start it in a week when you have real footage to cut, not on a quiet Sunday.
