Loupedeck alternatives now that Loupedeck sales have ended
Loupedeck stopped selling its consoles on 28 March 2025 to focus on Logitech's MX Creative Console; warranty and support continue. The closest Loupedeck alternative is that console, $169.99 on sale at Logitech's US store. For dials, TourBox and the Stream Deck + also fit. If you mostly cut, mouzeclick puts per-app wheels and Premiere Pro and After Effects tools on the mouse you already own.
- Loupedeck sales ended on 28 March 2025; remaining stock is sold through authorised retailers while it lasts
- Warranty and technical support continue; software 6.x shares a backend with the MX Creative Console
- Support for the legacy Loupedeck software 5.8 and its marketplace ended on 30 March 2026
- Hardware alternatives on 31 Oct 2026: MX Creative Console $169.99 on sale, TourBox Elite USD$239 on promotion, Stream Deck + $179.99
- Software route: mouzeclick on any mouse, Windows 10 and 11 and macOS 12 or newer
Is Loupedeck discontinued?
Yes, as a product line on sale. On 28 March 2025 Loupedeck announced that it would no longer sell the Loupedeck range and would focus on Logitech's MX Creative Console, which launched in October 2024. Loupedeck is part of Logitech.
Three things carried on after that day.
- Stock. Loupedeck said remaining inventory would stay on sale through authorised retailers while supplies last.
- Support. Warranty claims and technical support continue as usual.
- Software. Since software 6.0, Loupedeck consoles share a backend with the MX Creative Console, and Loupedeck says owners will be able to use future software updates and plug-ins made for the Creative Console.
If you've seen March 2026 given as the end of Loupedeck, that date belongs to a different notice. Loupedeck's own end-of-sales announcement is dated 28 March 2025; March 2026 is when support for the old 5.8 software ended, covered next.
What happens to your Loupedeck console and software now?
Your console keeps working, but update the software. Support for the legacy Loupedeck software 5.8 and its marketplace ended on 30 March 2026, because the cloud services it relied on are no longer available. On 5.8 you can no longer download or install new plug-ins from the legacy marketplace.
- Check your version in the Loupedeck software. If it starts with 5, plan the move.
- Install the current 6.x release from loupedeck.com/downloads. The downloads page offered 6.4.1 on 31 October 2026, for Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.15 or later. It supports the Loupedeck CT, Live, Live S and Loupedeck+, and the Razer Stream Controller and Stream Controller X. The 5.8 notice itself named 6.2.4, an earlier 6.x release.
- Re-check your profiles in Premiere Pro and After Effects after the update, and reinstall any plug-ins you depended on from the current Marketplace, which lists 200+ profiles, icon packs and plug-ins.
One exception: the original Loupedeck console only works with software 5.1 and earlier, so it can't move to 6.x. If that's your console, it will keep doing what it does today, and a replacement is worth planning.
What are the best Loupedeck alternatives in 2026?
Four routes stand out: Logitech's MX Creative Console, a TourBox, a Stream Deck +, or software on the mouse you already use. Prices as each maker's US store or page showed them on 31 October 2026.
| MX Creative Console | TourBox Elite | Stream Deck + | mouzeclick | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price as shown | $169.99 on sale, from $199.99 | USD$239 on promotion, list USD$268 | $179.99 | $25 a month or $249 a year |
| Controls | Dialpad, plus a keypad with LCD keys | 11 buttons, 3 knobs, haptics | 8 LCD keys, 4 dials, touch strip | Up to 5 mouse buttons plus scroll and tilt, gestures, 3 wheels |
| Software | Logi Options+ | TourBox Console | Stream Deck app (free) | mouzeclick app and panels |
| Windows / Mac | Windows 10+ (not ARM64), macOS 13+ | Windows 10+, macOS 10.13+ (Bluetooth) | Windows 11+, macOS 13+ | Windows 10 and 11, macOS 12+ |
| Premiere Pro and After Effects | Premiere Pro named among its apps | Built-in Premiere Pro preset | Hotkeys or third-party profiles | Ready-made profiles, 112-tool Premiere and 114-tool After Effects wheels |
| Extras | Comes with a 3-month Adobe Creative membership | 30-day refund | Free phone app with 6 keys | 3-day trial, no card |
| Fit for a Loupedeck owner | Same backend as Loupedeck software 6.x | Several knobs and haptics for hands-on control | Best if you also stream | Best if you mostly cut |
The Loupedeck CT itself had 6 dials, 20 buttons, 12 touch buttons and a touch wheel for colour. None of these replaces all of that in one box. Pick by the part of the CT you actually used.
Is the MX Creative Console the natural Loupedeck replacement?
For most Loupedeck owners, yes. It is the product Loupedeck said it would focus on, it shares the 6.x software backend, and it has the two things a Loupedeck layout leans on: a turning control and pages of labelled keys.
- What it is. A wireless dialpad plus a keypad with LCD keys, set up in Logi Options+ (our Logi Options+ comparison covers that app).
- Pages. Up to 15 keypad pages per app.
- Apps. Logitech names Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Figma, among others.
- Requirements. Windows 10 or later, but not on ARM64 processors, or macOS 13 or later; a USB-C port, Bluetooth Low Energy and the Options+ app.
- Extra. Logitech's US store bundled a 3-month Adobe Creative membership when we checked.
What it is not: a CT. It has a dialpad, not the CT's six dials and touch-sensitive colour wheel. If the CT's colour wheel was the reason you bought it, read the next section before you order.
Which Loupedeck alternative has dials for colour and audio?
A TourBox or a Stream Deck +, if dials were your favourite part of the Loupedeck. Both put several turning controls under your fingers, which a mouse never will.
- TourBox Elite. 11 buttons and 3 knobs (a knob, a dial and a scroll wheel), haptic feedback with two strengths, Bluetooth or USB-C. USD$239 on promotion. The TourBox Lite is USD$94.99, with 8 buttons and no dial.
- Stream Deck +. 4 dials with push, 8 LCD keys and a touch strip, $179.99. Dial Stacks put several actions on one dial, and Smart Profiles switch layouts per app.
- MX Creative Console. A dialpad beside the LCD keypad, set up in Logi Options+.
For colour in Premiere, any of these on the Lumetri Color panel (Window › Lumetri Color) gives you continuous control of exposure, contrast and saturation. For a click-based way to grade instead, mouzeclick's mouzegrade extension grades by clicking on the shot, with a waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and histogram, six built-in looks and .cube LUTs. It's quicker for matching shots; it doesn't replace turning a wheel by feel. The TourBox alternative and Stream Deck alternative pages go deeper on each.
Is there a software-only Loupedeck alternative?
Yes: put the controls on your mouse. mouzeclick maps up to five buttons plus scroll and tilt for each app, adds holds, chords and four-way gestures, and opens wheels at the pointer. It works with any mouse your computer sees, with no driver, and it never touches DPI or firmware.
Most Loupedeck ideas have a mouse-side match:
| On a Loupedeck | On the mouse with mouzeclick |
|---|---|
| Workspaces and extra pages of actions | The Options wheel: 48 favourites per app on three rings of 12, 16 and 20 |
| Dynamic Mode switching profiles by app | Per-app profiles that change the moment you switch apps |
| Custom actions and macros | Macros recorded from keys, clicks, waits and typed text |
| Buttons for essential commands | Side buttons, each with eleven slots |
| A dial for a value | Hold a side button and scroll, or tilt left and right |
| Native plug-ins for Premiere Pro | A Tool wheel that runs 112 Premiere Pro tools inside Premiere through a panel |
What you give up is the hardware itself: the dials, the colour wheel, the haptic buttons and the labels you can see without looking at the screen. What you gain is a setup that travels with your laptop and costs nothing extra to carry. The wheels open from F8, F9 and F10; on a MacBook keyboard the Options and Orbit wheels use Fn + F8 and Fn + F9.
Which Loupedeck alternative suits Premiere Pro and After Effects?
For Premiere Pro, all four routes work; for After Effects, check what each one ships before you buy. The Loupedeck CT had native plug-ins for both Premiere Pro and After Effects, so this is where owners feel the gap.
- Premiere Pro. The MX Creative Console and TourBox both name Premiere among their apps. mouzeclick adds a ready profile, the 112-tool Premiere Pro Tool wheel and the Studio panel with a silence remover; captions and Retakes are Windows only.
- After Effects. Logitech's console page and TourBox's Elite page don't name After Effects, and on a Stream Deck it runs on your hotkeys or Marketplace profiles. mouzeclick has an After Effects profile, a 114-tool wheel in 13 groups with four layouts, and 15 After Effects extensions. The After Effects radial menu guide shows the wheel.
- Both apps, on Windows. The two mouzeclick workspaces add one panel in each app, with 159 text animation and expression presets and 81 UI templates in After Effects and 44 ready easing curves in both.
If you want to see the button side first, the Premiere Pro mouse shortcuts guide lists the Premiere keys worth putting on a mouse.
Can you keep your Loupedeck and add a mouse setup?
Yes, and if your console still works it's the cheapest plan. Move it to software 6.x, keep it for dials and colour, and let the mouse take cutting and trimming. The Loupedeck software reads the console and mouzeclick reads the mouse, so they don't fight over buttons.
Both send Premiere's keyboard shortcuts. If you change a key in Premiere's Keyboard Shortcuts editor, update it in both the same day. And if your Loupedeck is the original model stuck on 5.1, treat the mouse setup as the long-term replacement rather than an add-on.
Which alternatives work on Windows and Mac?
All of them run on both, with different minimums. Loupedeck software 6.4.1 needs Windows 10 or macOS 10.15 or later. The MX Creative Console needs Windows 10 (not ARM64) or macOS 13; note that Logitech's Options+ download page lists macOS 14 or later, so check your Mac first. The Stream Deck + lists Windows 11 or macOS 13. TourBox Elite over Bluetooth needs Windows 10 or macOS 10.13, and its current Console app needs macOS 11.
mouzeclick runs on Windows 10 and 11 and on macOS 12 or newer, Apple Silicon and Intel. On a Mac the buttons, gestures, wheels, Tool wheels and extensions all work. The workspaces, auto, styled and Hinglish captions, Retakes, cloud sync and in-app updates are Windows only for now, and Apple hasn't notarized the app yet, so you allow it once in Privacy & Security. The Mac page has the install steps.
When is a hardware console still the better pick?
When you grade or mix by feel, or want a one-time purchase. Four cases stand out.
- You colour every day and miss the CT's wheel: look at a TourBox or a Stream Deck +, and accept that nothing on sale copies the CT exactly.
- You want the shortest path from Loupedeck: the MX Creative Console shares its software backend.
- You don't want a subscription: consoles are paid once.
- You often edit offline: mouzeclick needs an internet connection while it runs, and if it drops the shortcuts pause and the mouse behaves normally.
Software on the mouse is the better pick when you mostly cut, work from a laptop, or want tools inside Premiere Pro and After Effects rather than more keys. mouzeclick is one plan, $25 a month or $249 a year, after a 3-day trial with no card; the pricing section shows it in your currency.
Move your Loupedeck shortcuts to the mouse you already own, free for 3 days. One plan with everything included, $25 a month, or $249 for a year.
Questions people ask
Is Loupedeck still supported?
Yes. Loupedeck says warranty claims and technical support continue as usual after the end of sales. What did end is support for the legacy software 5.8 and its marketplace, on 30 March 2026. Owners should run the current 6.x software, which also receives plug-ins made for Logitech's MX Creative Console.
Can I still buy a Loupedeck?
Only while stock lasts. Loupedeck stopped selling the range itself on 28 March 2025 and said remaining inventory would stay available through authorised retailers while supplies last. Expect fewer models and fewer sellers as time goes on, and check that any unit you buy can run software 6.x.
What replaced Loupedeck?
Logitech's MX Creative Console, a dialpad plus a keypad with LCD keys, set up in Logi Options+. Loupedeck named it as the product it would focus on when sales ended. It was $169.99 on sale at Logitech's US store when we checked, from $199.99.
Will MX Creative Console plug-ins work on my Loupedeck?
That is Loupedeck's stated plan. Since software 6.0 the two share a backend, and Loupedeck says owners will be able to use future software updates and plug-ins developed for the Creative Console. Check each plug-in's listing for the devices it supports before you rely on it.
Does the original Loupedeck console still work?
It works with software 5.1 and earlier only, according to Loupedeck's downloads page, so it can't move to the current 6.x release or its newer plug-ins. It will keep doing its current job, but it's the model most worth replacing first.
Is Loupedeck owned by Logitech?
Yes. Loupedeck Ltd. is part of Logitech, and when Loupedeck ended sales it said it would focus on Logitech's MX Creative Console and its ecosystem. That's why the Creative Console and Loupedeck software 6.x share a backend, and why Logitech's own console is the obvious first look for a replacement.
Can I replace a Loupedeck with software alone?
For cutting and trimming, yes. mouzeclick puts per-app buttons, gestures, chords and three wheels on any mouse, plus Tool wheels that run Premiere Pro and After Effects tools inside the editor. For colour by feel you'll miss the dials, so keep the console for grading if you still have one and move everything else to the mouse.
How much does mouzeclick cost, and is there a trial?
There's a 3-day trial with no card, then one plan with everything included: $25 a month or $249 a year. A creator or friend code takes 10% off a new customer's first 30-day or 1-year payment. There's no hardware to buy, because it uses the mouse you have.
